Complaint Procedures and Professional Misconduct under the LSRA Act 2015
This presentation focuses on complaints procedures surrounding professional misconduct under the Legal Services Regulation Act 2015, by way of brief update for practicing solicitors. What constitutes a complaint, how complaints are brought under the Act, to which body, and the new definition of “professional misconduct” under the Act are addressed. Throughout the paper, the relevant Irish jurisprudence is used to explain the rationale behind certain parts of the Act.
